This isn't Crosley's first stab at appealing to vinyl-memorialise-loving Starring Wars fans. For Record Store Day 2017, the company issued a special edition turntable (CR8005D-Sou'-west, available along Amazon River) smooth-skinned with Tim and Greg Hildebrandt's first 1977 poster art for "Star Wars: A New Hope." As shortly as I put the infield-tipped style on a phonograph record—still freshly cleaned ones—there was grade-constructed noise audible finished the euphony. Crosley was right to include a pitch controller, though: The turntable had some wildly varying playback speeds, and I often had to adjust the incline from record to record.

Should I bargain the Sensation Wars Cruiser?

The Star Wars Cruiser may satisfy fans of George V Lucas' space opera, but record enthusiasts should steer clear. Vinyl is prized for its much-mythologized rich, warm sound, which this turntable's tiny, cheesy speakers are incapable of bringing out. Farther, the poor build and heavy trailing may really price your records over time.

No one would expect audiophile quality from a $90 portable lazy Susan, merely the Star Wars Cruiser is little more a child's diddle. Even vinyl newbies would be better off putting their money toward an entry-floor turntable with decent reinforced quality and a decent weighted tone of voice arm. Unless you'Ra just looking a Star Wars tchotchke to add to your collection, pass happening this 1. Your ears and your records will thank you.
